Meet Cam
Meet Cameryn Cimino, LMHC—a compassionate therapist specializing in trauma recovery for individuals and families. She enjoys her work with children, teens, and young adults and takes great pride in being a resource for their healing and growth. As a bisexual woman herself, Cameryn is dedicated to providing LGBTQ+ affirming and kink-allied therapy, ensuring a safe and inclusive space for all clients.
With a straightforward approach and a strong commitment to honesty, she fosters an environment where clients can truly be themselves while addressing difficult issues.
Cameryn believes that healing doesn’t have to be all heavy—humor is an important part of the therapeutic process. Her dynamic approach includes play therapy and art therapy, helping clients explore and process their emotions in creative and empowering ways.
A lifelong learner, Cameryn is currently advancing her skills in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and she is also trained in TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) and TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Cameryn has also completed Safe Zone Training, providing her with the resources to be a safe space for members of the LGBTQ+ community. This diverse toolkit allows her to support clients through trauma recovery with a wide range of effective techniques. Cameryn is also a member of the American Psychological Association and frequently stays up to date on new advancements in counseling and psychology.
Outside of therapy, Cameryn is an adjunct instructor at Finger Lakes Community College. Cameryn enjoys spending time with her family, reading thriller novels, and hanging out with her dogs—especially her pug, Fig, the face of Fig Tree Mental Health!
